BAg-Group - Silver Alloy Brazing Filler Metal |
|
◆ The Silver alloys metals are suitable for use with all braze able coppers and copper alloys as most dissimilar alloy combinations. The lower brazing temperature for some of the silver alloy filler metals make them particularly well suited for brazing copper alloys with an appreciable zinc content. These include yellow brasses , which are subject to dezincification. The corrosion resistance of silver filler metals ranges from good to excellent.
◆ Although the cadmium-containing silver alloys are avoided when brazing equipment for the diary, food, and pharmaceutical The principal disadvantage of silver alloy filler metals ishigh cost , but this disadvantage can be largely offset joint design.
